Sugar Alley Pastries

Wedding and Custom Cake Terms

  • Your initial deposit reserves your event date and is non-refundable or transferable.

  • NO refunds will be issued under any circumstances, unless Sugar Alley Pastries (Christie Jackson) chooses to cancel your order and if that is to occur, you will receive only your deposit as a refund within 60 days of the cancellation.

  • Upon agreeing to the contract, your initial deposit is due or payment in full if ordered less than 1 week prior to event.

  • The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event or the contract is null and void and the deposit will not be refunded.  If you miss your final payment on the initial due date, there will be an additional 25% charge to the total that is due if you wish to keep your order.

  • Orders over $75 that are placed less than 2 weeks in advance must be paid in full at the time order is placed.

  • The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes in size, style, or flavor of the cake/order.  Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. 

  • Delivery and set is an additional charge.  This will be reflected on your invoice.

  • Sugar Alley Pastries is not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete.  You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, optimal room and the room temperature must be 75 degrees or below. 

  • Sugar Alley Pastries does not provide cake cutting or serving services. 

  • You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt or other contaminants.

  • You are acknowledging and responsible for all “non-toxic” items you chose for this order such as disco dust and luster dust that is not edible but for enhancing decorating use only.

  • If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake/order, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it is in your possession.

  • On occasion we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.

  • Products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens.  You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.

  • Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Sugar Alley Pastries to complete the agreement and is subject to labor disputes or strikes, accidents, Acts of God, and other causes beyond our control.

  • All cake orders that are delivered have to be allowed to come to room temperature, which takes approximately 1-2 hours prior to consumption.  If you attempt to cut your cake prior to the 2-hour window and it is frozen, Sugar Alley Pastries is not responsible.

  • Cancellation policy: In the event of cancellation by the client, payment and deposits are non-refundable and will not be issued under any circumstances.  For all custom and signature cakes, no refunds and no transferrable options will be given.  We do not issue credits for any order or under any circumstance.  Sugar Alley Pastries has the right to cancel your order.  You will be informed in writing of your cancelled order and will receive your deposit back within 60 days of the cancellation.

  • Delivery: Delivery and set up of cakes that are 2 or more tiers begin at $50. If delivery option is chosen instead of a pick-up within 48 hours of the event, the delivery and set-up charge is subject to a 20% increase.
